Accommodation Prefab Spec
Uniteam can provide prefabricated shelters and accommodation
solutions in various combinations. We tailormake camps according
to the customers requirements and needs.
THE BASIC 20-FOOTT ACCOMMODATION SHELTER - GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our 20' ISO shelters comply fully with the ISO 20' size. Due to
logistical considerations, our solutions is based on 10', 20' and
30' ISO dimensioned containers. Basically 20' (LxW= 6058mmx2438mm),
which can be connected together to form larger facilities. Uniteam
has delivered complete military camps for air force squadrons and
army units, which have been deployed in Europe and Asia. Solutions
from Uniteam consist of accommodation-, sanitary-, kitchen-, dining-room-,
training room-, church-, living room-, reefer-containers, etc.
Exterior- and interior walls and panels are interchangeable in order
to allow easy change of configuration to meet new requirements.
We have produced and delivered these shelters to several European
armed forces, the United Nations, NGOs and for commercial purposes.
The shelters are commonly used for living quarters, ablutions, kitchens,
medical facilities, recreational facilities, dining halls, Command
Posts, storage functions and workshops. The Module Shelter is field
proven through many years of deployment around the world with various
users..
The weight of the shelter is approximately 1800kgs.
The Shelters are ready for operation (insulated, lined, electrical
system) IT and telephone cabling, heating and roof lighting depending
on the customers demand.
Numerous options are available to tailor the shelters for most
purposes.
Shelters may be carried on a DROPS-frame as flat-pack load and
are then quickly erected on site.
Each unit will provide accommodation for 4 persons in one shared
facility.
This module is constructed of a fully lined 20’ steel ISO container,
erected on-site erection in approximately 8 hours, ready connected
to services. As a prefabricated steel container there are no joints
to leak, and with its DROPS capability, the shelter is movable,
with an in-service life of at least 12 years. The shelter is fully
CE marked.
The following description refers to the specification and furnishing
of standard shelters.
UNITEAM Module-Shelters match ISO dimensions and
have the advantages of this norm system. Construction is based on
a stable frame and interchangeable wall panels.
The individual shelters can be stood either side-by-side or stacked
on top of each other up to three floors. Individual sizes of space
can be achieve by removing outer wall panels and fitting of partitions.

can be supplied if required. Regular ventilation of the rooms has
to be provided – a relative humidity of 70 % should not be exceeded.
15) SITING AND ERECTION:
Any individual shelter should always be mounted on either wooden
or concrete foundation bearers (6bearers). The same applies to the
combining of several UNITEAM Module-Shelters in a cluster where
units must be positioned over concrete bearers or concrete slabs.
Foundation parameters and frost depths would be subject to local
demands and soil conditions. Level foundations are necessary for
problem-free positioning and friction-free erection of any combination.
For assembling please read the appropriate mounting instructions.
16) HANDLING:
With overhead rope, 60 ° (4 corners), forklift, container-lift.
Valid: Nov 2004 Technical alterations reserved
Uniteam module shelters match ISO dimensions and have the advantage
of this standardized criterion. Construction is based on a stable
frame and interchangeable wall panels in various types.

design proposal for 100 men
General
In order to host 100 people in a camp our proposal is as follows.
The composing of various shelters will of course be based upon the
customers demand, but we would like to propose the following solutions.
How many shelters do you need?
The different alternatives of composing the camp are based upon
the duration of the stay.
For longer periods we do recommend option 1.
For medium periods up to 3 months we would recommend option 2 and
for short period up to one month we would recommend option 3
Option 1
1 ea Type B Toilet Shelter approx 10 people pr toilet
1 ea Type C Shower Shelter approx 10 people pr shower.
25 ea Type D Office Shelter approx 4 people pr office.
50 ea Type E/1 Accommodation Shelter based upon that the working
staff will have single rooms
See drawings in 4.6.
Option 2
1 ea Type B Toilet Shelter approx 10 people pr toilet
1 ea Type C Shower Shelter approx 10 people pr shower.
25 ea Type D Office Shelter approx 4 people pr office.
28 ea Type E/1 Accommodation Shelter which is based upon that 10
% of the staff will have single rooms and the rest 2 people pr room.
See drawings in 4.6.
Option 3
1 ea Type B Toilet Shelter approx 10 people pr toilet
1 ea Type C Shower Shelter approx 10 people pr shower.
25 ea Type D Office Shelter approx 4 people pr office.
17 ea Type E/2 Accommodation Shelter which is based upon that the
working staff will be live 6 persons pr shelter. This is considered
acceptable for shorter periods.
For all options be aware that the shelters can be stacked in 3
heights and by doing that you will save space on the ground. Be
aware that you will need smoke detectors/ alarms and fire extinguishers.
Principal sketch of the camp construction
We would propose a dividing of the camp in 3 areas.
Office area as the outer area, sanitary and service functions placed
in the middle and accommodation in the back.
By doing this you may simplify the infrastructure e.g. piping, electricity
etc.
