Quick ties for containers
For lifting and transport of containers there can sometimes be
an advantage to couple two or more containers together. Some of
the cranes that lift containers can lift one 40 container. When
two 20 containers are linked together they can be handled as one
container instead of two. One 10 and one 30 container can be handled
as one 40 container and so on.
Uniteam is able to deliver the necessary Quick-Tie equipment for
linking containers. The Quick-Tie units are mounted in the DIN ISO
1611 ISO-corners.
The Quick-Tie units are easy mounted within 10 minutes.

It is cheaper shipping rates for one 40 than two 20ers. Savings
could be 35%.
This is a coupling device for a rigid and force locking connection
of two ISO containers of identical overall height in the longitudinal
direction, such as to form a new up to 40 foot container unit. The
coupling device is not an integral part of the container but may
be carried in a storage compartment in the bottom of the container.
For each container, only two coupling devices are required to establish
a rigid and force-locking connection. For a complete coupling of
two containers four devices are necessary.
Due to the different ISO openings of the Corner Castings on the
front side of each container, the couplings are classified as one
upper and one lower coupling
Two 20 coupled as one 40.
