History

Originally established in 1984, the company activities consisted primarily of sales and rental of used containers. The company was Uniteam AS in 1992, after a radical change in strategy, from being a shipping agent, stevedore and terminal operator to becoming a system provider based on container production, sales and leasing.

1992
Uniteam's business objectives was to create containerised solutions based on the customers needs, with the boundaries of the basis container construction

1993
Uniteam was officially established. The first accommodation rig was delivered to the Olympic Organisation of the Lillehammer Olympic Games in 1993/1994.
The very first production company was acquired in Poland..

1994
The company delivered over 380 customised container solutions, in addition to delivery of over 2000 containers to the Norwegian Defence through out the year.

1995
Won a new big contract with the Norwegian Defence (NOK 110 mill), for delivering over 3000 container units during 1995 and 1996.

1996
Formed 3 new companies in Europe, Uniteam Denmark, Uniteam Containerservice GmbH in Hamburg and Uniteam BV in Rotterdam. Uniteam developed a prototype on a gas safe container section for the Norwegian Air Defence - Gas Safety Shelter Products (GSSP). Uniteam now holds the world patent on this product, which is now one of the frontiers in the product range. The number of containers and reefers for hire increased to over 2000 unit this year.

1997
The company delivered the world first movable, gas safe air base to NATO's IRF on Orland in Norway. The base consist of 348 special container solution in different sections. Formed Uniteam AB in Göteborg, with the ambition to achieve the same position in Sweden as in Norway and Denmark.

1998
Completed the first bigger delivery of accommodation rig to the civilian market. Uniteam developed it's expandable container solutions "3 i 1" and "2 i 1", for the defence industry. This product are now one of the frontiers in Uniteams product range.

1999
Empowering the growth in Sweden through establishing a sales office in Västerås, for handling the Stockholm region.
The founder, Mr. Harald Engh was elected to win the transport price of the year, by a commitee of experts at the Transportation Conferance, for his work in developing flexible and excellent transportation solutions in Uniteam.

2000
Uniteam delivered the first complete turn-key camp for the use in the occupied area of Kosovo (Camp Victoria)

2001
The company made a significant break-through in the focus on expandable solutions for military use. This resulted in to major project, creating a complete hospital solution, and delivery of complete command posts for use of the Norwegian Defence.
Founded Uniteam Oy in Finland together with CHS Container Handel GmbH in Bremen.

2002
Won the contract for delivery of 3 big gas safe shelters to Tengiz Oilfield in Kazakhstan, based on Uniteam's GSSP-solution,.
The Uniteam group reached a turnover on aprox. NOK 315 mill

2003
Formed a Joint Venture with a Chinese container production factory.Uniteam International was ceritified by Det Norske Veritas according to ISO standard 90001.

Continue to deliver 500 men’s Gas Safe Shelters to Tengiz oilfield

And commando expandable shelters to the Norwegian Army.

2004

Delivered 110 pcs expandable special shelters “3 in 1” fully equipped to the Belgian Army.

Delivered 4 modular prisons, different kindergartens and school pavilions to Norway.

The first containerized catamaran delivered.

Continue to deliver commando expandable shelters to the Norwegian Army.

Uniteam in US established.

Received the Gazelle prize for the 3 last years fastest growing profitable company in Norway.

2005 

Continue to deliver commando expandable shelters (3 in 1) to the Norwegian Army.

Delivered different types of container modules, water racks to several NATO forces and several hospitals and medical shelters fully equipped to several disaster areas. A large number of wellhead modules delivered to customer as operator on and offshore Kazakhstan and Caspian Sea.

Delivered research camp at the South Pole.

Chosen candidate for the Entrepreneur of the Year.

Established a 100% owned trading company in Beijing.

2006

Continue delivering commando expandable shelters to the Norwegian and Irish Defence

Leading supplier of kindergartens in Norway.

Delivered gas safety rescue ship for 500 persons to Agip in Caspian Sea

Moved to new own facilities, office, workshop and depot, at Berger 25 km East of Oslo in the middle between the Airport and the City of Oslo.
